Since we're not adding any other sweeteners to these natural fruit popsicles you need to make sure you use the best fruit for the best flavour. That means knowing what signs to look out for when purchasing your melons.

1 Ingredient Watermelon Popsicles
You're in luck here, because this may just be the easiest recipe on the entire website with only one true ingredient. While you need just one food ingredient, you will need some popsicle molds as well as a blender or food processor to make these at home.
Lacking those can simply turn this into a refreshing watermelon slushie!
Ingredients
You'll will need:
- 1 large ripe watermelon
Special Equipment
- 1-2 sets of popsicle molds or reusable freezie tubes
- A blender or food processor.
- 1 mesh strainer
I use my trusty Kitchen Aid immersion blender to make this recipe easy, and mess free! (Plus immersion blenders are MUCH cheaper than a stand blender!)
Instructions
1. Start by cutting the watermelon in half. Take the immersion blender and literally sink it into the time watermelon flesh. Hit the go button and puree all the fruit right there in the rind. Smart eh! No mess or extra dishes to clean up!
2. Once the pulp is fully blended pour it into the mesh strainer to separate all the liquid from the pulp. Squeeze any remaining juice out of the leftover pulp.
3. Stir the juice to properly mix all the natural fruit juices and then pour it directly into the popsicle molds. Freeze immediately for at least 2 hours.
4. To un-mold the popsicles, simply run a little warm water over the outside of the mold to loosen them. Pop the watermelon popsicles out and enjoy!
Adding Flavorings
The best part about these watermelon popsicles is that they are easy to make, and use just one ingredient. That said, you can always add other things to it to keep your summer treats interesting!
Try adding:
- Lime juice
- Berries - Either pureed with the juice or whole
- Other Fruit Juices
- Alcohol - Add some rum or vodka to the juice prior to freezing. Just don't add too much or the popsicles won't set! (alcohol doesn't freeze well)
